American Idol

Usually I do not watch this show, because frankly the audition embarrass me, that’s right they embarrass ME! lol. I watched the first show the first year and had to turn it off, I just couldn’t take it. It’s a new season and I decided that I would give it another shot at watching it. There are some people out there with some amazing voices, and then…there are those who embarrass me over the air waves lol. But you have to give it to them, they are passionate, and enjoy singing and are not afraid to get up there and belt it out. I guess sometimes you have to leave your comfort zone and just go for it! Sometimes, I will speak to someone on the phone who is having a very hard time facing who they are and what they like. I lend an ear, and try to give some encouragement, understanding, and love. Don’t be afraid of who you are, or what you feel inside, it’s what makes you that wonderful person you are. Lizabeth 1-888-430-2010

What Is This?

I have no clue what the heck this thing is. Do you? Some sort of pillow? But with silicone nipples? I can just see grandma knitting this. A very warped, not all together there grandma. I wonder if there are some sort of chambers behind the nipples that you can fill with milk, or water, or GHB. I kid. If anyone really does know what the heck this is please tell me, because I am truly stumped. Mommy Lizabeth 1-888-430-2010

Kisses And Hugs

I was trying to find out where this comes from. The use of X and O’s to signify Hugs and Kisses, and so far I have come up with this: The REAL definition behind X’s and O’s is this The first mention in literature of XXX for kisses at the bottom of a letter was in 1901, according to the Oxford English Dictionary. The X itself is very old. The custom goes back to the early Christian era, when a cross mark or “X” was the same as a sworn oath. The cross referred to the cross of Calvary and the first letter of the Greek word for Christ, Xristos. Even as little as a hundred and fifty years ago, not many people could read or write. The “X” at the bottom of a document took the place of a signature. They would kiss the “X” as a crucifix or bible was kissed to emphasize the importance of the mark. It was this practice that lead to the “X” representing a kiss. O is an American thing and represents the arms wrapping around someone. Pretty nice don’t you think? Stacie 1-888-430-2010

Halloween Poem

IT’S HALLOWEEN It’s Halloween! It’s Halloween! The moon is full and bright And we shall see what can’t be seen On any other night. Skeletons and ghosts and ghouls, Grinning goblins fighting duels, Werewolves rising from their tombs, Witches on their magic brooms. In masks and gowns we haunt the street And knock on doors for trick or treat. Tonight we are the king and queen, For tonight it’s Halloween! Have a fantastic time this upcoming weekend, and please stay safe, and don’t take candy from strangers, unless that candy is a large sum of money or diamonds, then that’s perfectly fine!
